Attention Financial Advisors...
Finally a Proven, Implemented, and Guaranteed Way to Get More Clients,
Gather Assets, and Become Known as an Expert in your City
Yes, You can Give a Living Trust Seminar in your City in just 30 days...Even if you've never
done a seminar before!
Dear Advisor,
Hello. My name is Richard Emmons and I help financial advisors expand their practices through systematic, proven
and effective marketing programs. Since 2006, I've helped advisors use Living Trust seminars to expand their
practices.
In my experience, estate planning seminars are the best way to consistently, predictably and repeatedly
get in front of people with assets and turn them into clients. The Family Living Trust "Seminar in a
Box"...
- Gets you in front of individuals and couples with assets who know they need estate planning
- Lets you lead an estate planning seminar where you build chemistry with the audience and establish your
estate planning expertise
- Gets your attendees to sign up for a free consultation. You'll lead the effort in their estate planning
process. Normally the assets will follow as you build chemistry and gain their trust
You team up with an estate planning attorney who assists you with the seminar, answers all legal questions, and
prepares the trust documents. You host the seminar, lead the estate planning process, and assist in the trust
funding process. During this process you build a relationship with the attendees and convert them into your
clients.
Do you need to deliver the actual presentation?
No, you choose how much of the seminar you want to deliver. You have 3 main approaches:
- The attorney delivers the presentation while the advisor does the introduction and answers planning and
investment questions.
- The advisor leads the presentation and lets the attorney present the information on living trusts.
- The advisor does the entire presentation while the attorney answers any legal questions.
All 3 approaches result in 80% or more of the buying units signing up for an initial
consultation. Why? Because the attendees understand their problem and see you as the solution
provider. Advisors delivering most or all of the presentation do better than approach #1 simply because they have
more face time with the attendees.
So you can start out letting the attorney do most of the presentation. Or you can do it yourself and just read
the presentation from the full transcript provided to you. Either way the attendees get fed great information and
are primed to take action!
Wondering about your return on investment?
Good question. Let's take a look at how the numbers work for a "double seminar" (holding lunch & dinner
seminars on same day)
|
Assumptions: 25 Attendees, 15 Buying Units, 10 Trusts; 80% of BU's attend
initial consultation; 80% get trust.
|
|
| $1MM in New Assets @ 3% |
$30,000
|
| Advertising Cost (newspaper, radio and/or postcards) |
$2,500
|
| Food & Facility Cost (For 25 attendees) |
$500
|
| Total Seminar Costs (if Advisor pays 100%) |
$3,000
|
| Marketing return on investment (for Advisor) |
10:1
|
I recommend the attorney pay half the seminar costs. He gets 10 trusts at $1,500 apiece or $15,000 in legal
fees against his $1,500 in seminar costs. He gets a 10:1 marketing return on investment. Of course, your
MROI doubles in this example.
One advisor recently sent me the actual results of his initial seminars:
|
I have closed 2 deals for $490K in annuities & $500K in fee based. When I get back I am
meeting to close another $350K and am still working on over 2 million. The last 2 seminars cost us
$ 7,272.76 (Newspaper, radio and food and letter invitations.) My cost 50% = $
3,636.38 to get 25K [upfront] and 10k trail with more to come.
That’s really from 2 seminars, the first seminar we did we did for our clients ONLY to see if
they would bring someone. The two we did after that were for prospects only. The first one
the Attorney got about 7 Living Trusts and several Will updates and Power of Attorneys, so he was
hooked!
I will be disappointed if we don’t get $1.5 to 2 million per seminar.

Let me tell you about the "Estate Planning Simplified"
presentation...
This easy-to-present and engaging PowerPoint presentation can be given in just 80 minutes.
Your seminar attendees will likely know more about estate planning than most attorneys. The attendees also learn
why revocable trust planning far surpasses estate planning based on wills and joint tenancy for most people.
The attendees learn this by watching Tom & Carol live their lives twice and do it the right way and the
wrong way. So the attendees learn from Tom & Carol's mistakes. And how you can solve and
prevent their estate planning mistakes.
Most important is that the attendees see you as the estate planning
expert. Someone who has taught them things which their existing advisor, planner or CPA forgot to
mention.

qualified prospects, and grow your assets under management.
The system includes proven advertisements to get people to the seminar as well as tools to
get them to the initial consult. And training to convert attendees from interested in a trust to an
attorney's client and finally your planning clients.
